Job Summary:
VVater is seeking a skilled and versatile Automation Technician to build, integrate, and maintain the electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and automated systems that power VVater’s advanced water purification technologies. This role combines actuator integration, hydraulic/pneumatic control, robotics support, mechatronics assembly, sensor wiring, PLC and control interfaces, and mechanical automation.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician who can turn engineering concepts into fully functional automated assemblies and field-ready systems—comfortable working across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and robotic subsystems.
• 3–7+ years of hands-on experience in automation, electromechanics, mechatronics, hydraulics, robotics, or industrial equipment assembly.
• Strong understanding of actuators, drive systems, relays, solenoids, and industrial wiring practices.
• Experience assembling and troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic components.
• Basic understanding of PLC/controls signals (24VDC, analog/digital I/O).
• Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&IDs.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment used in automation assembly.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
• Experience with servo/stepper controllers, VFDs, or motion control systems is a plus.
• Experience in water treatment, industrial equipment, automotive testing, aerospace, or robotics environments is preferred.
• Technical diploma or associate degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Robotics, or Electromechanical Technology preferred.
