Nielsen Mechanical Contractors, a Crete United Company, is a leading commercial HVAC contractor supporting large-scale construction and retrofit projects across the Denver metro area. With a strong and growing project backlog, we’re hiring an experienced HVAC Journeyman to join our Commercial Project Team.
This role is ideal for a journeyman who wants exposure to larger-scale commercial projects, advanced HVAC systems, and structured project teams that support long-term skill growth and career advancement.
Install commercial HVAC systems on active construction and retrofit projects
Work with equipment including RTUs, air handlers, VAV systems, ductwork, hydronics, and related mechanical systems
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Coordinate daily work with foremen, superintendents, and other trades
Ensure installations meet project plans, quality standards, and safety requirements
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
Communicate progress, material needs, and issues to project leadership
Journeyman-level HVAC experience in commercial construction or major retrofit projects
Strong installation skills and understanding of commercial HVAC systems
Ability to work independently while contributing to a larger project team
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
EPA certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
Reliable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
Ability to work Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week, with overtime as project schedules require
$30 - $45 hourly pay, based on experience
