HVAC Mechanic

Core Job Responsibilities

• System Installation & Repair: Installing, replacing, and repairing HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, Cooling Towers ,boilers etc. .
• Maintenance & Inspections: Performing routine maintenance (e.g., changing filters, cleaning ducts, lubricating parts) to ensure efficiency and longevity.
• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Identifying mechanical and electrical failures using testing equipment like pressure gauges and voltmeters.
• Compliance & Safety: Adhering to safety standards (e.g., OSHA) and local codes while handling refrigerants (EPA 608 or universal  certification).
• Documentation & Communication: Keeping detailed records of maintenance/repairs, estimating costs, and advising clients on system performance or replacements. 
• Inspect , install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot heating, ventilation, cooling, and refrigeration systems to ensure optimal climate control and indoor air quality.
• Key duties include repairing defective parts, cleaning components, testing electrical circuits, calibrating thermostats, and ensuring compliance with safety codes and EPA regulations for refrigerant handling. 
• strong problem-solving/troubleshooting, deep mechanical and electrical knowledge, excellent customer service/communication, attention to detail, and time management
• Managing multiple service calls efficiently and adapting to new technologies (like smart thermostats) and varying work conditions are key to success
• Commercial Focus: Repairing walk-in coolers, freezers, and industrial-grade air handling units.
• Emergency Service: Performing prompt, on-call, or emergency repairs to restore heating or cooling.
