HVAC Technician

The Coahoma County School District is looking for an experienced HVAC technician.  The qualified person is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in a  commercial setting.  The key responsibilities include:  Installing HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, heating systems, and ventilation systems.  Performing regular preventive maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.  Diagnosing and repairing malfunctions in HVAC systems, including electrical and mechanical faults.  Communicating with our schools to understand their HVAC needs, explain repairs, and provide excellent service.  Ensuring all work complies with local and national safety standards and regulations.  Keeping accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed, including costs and parts used.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in HVAC systems is preferred.

Experience: Proven experience as an HVAC technician, typically requiring 1-4 years in the field.

Skills: Strong problem solving skills, mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in confined spaces.
