Experience, Education and Qualifications for all M&R Technicians:
Experience
3+ years industrial ammonia refrigeration experience OR 3 + years industrial maintenance experience required. Must have experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical theory.
Proficient experience with Microsoft based software, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
Experience with SAP systems is preferred. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Education
High school diploma, Associates degree or equivalent certifications in Refrigeration/Mechanical field are preferred.
Preferred for refrigeration: IIAR Ammonia Refrigeration training, RETA/CIRO/CARO – Operators License, EPA TYPE Universal License
Qualifications
Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints during troubleshooting.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to self-motivate and work independently.
Comfortable operating at high elevations
Ability to lift or move 75 pounds.
Ability to withstand changing environments.
Ability to operate an aerial lift and sit-down forklift.
Basic computer skills required.
Ability to pass a physical and fit testing requirements for full face respirator use. (Refrigeration ONLY)

Maintenance Technicians:
Job Summary
This position is responsible for operation, maintenance, and service of all production and facility equipment. The team member will need to be proficient and able to perform duties within the roles of a general maintenance technician. The team member needs to be able to effectively work with members of management, operations/production personnel, as well as various contractors if needed. Team member is to be proficient in mechanical troubleshooting, basic electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics and pneumatics. The team member will also be participating in our in house and external training program, and other skill development in all areas of the maintenance department. Team member should be self-motivated, multi-tasking, and able to work in a fast-paced changing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform and complete preventative maintenance, and repairs of plant production equipment including but not limited to:
Mechanical repairs:
Interpret prints/schematics of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic.
Equipment Maintenance
Shaft seal replacements
Motor replacement and alignments
Rebuilds of pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders, valves, pumps etc.
Basic electrical troubleshooting including low and high voltage up to 480 volts.
Bearing, sprockets, conveyor systems maintenance
Vacuum pump knowledge and packaging machines.
Box makers and taper machines
Able to interpret and understand procedure manuals.
Oil Removal and System maintenance on hydraulic and vacuum equipment.
Timely repair of plant equipment/systems with precision maintenance techniques as necessary to meet production rates and maintenance downtime goals.
Data entry daily into current CMMS system including preventative maintenance records, and inspection generated work orders for future work.
Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, including all safety protocols and company policies.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Refrigeration/Ammonia Technicians
This position is responsible for operation, maintenance, and service of the facility’s ammonia refrigeration system. Candidates will need to demonstrate proficiency in ammonia systems and ability to perform required duties within the regulatory agencies (OSHA/EPA), IIAR, and Tyson standards. The ability to effectively communicate with members of management, engineering, operations/production, and contractors is fundamental to being successful to this role. Mechanical troubleshooting, ammonia refrigeration service experience, ability to multi-task, and self-motivation are required to be successful in this position.

Transducer Calibrations
Slide Valve Calibrations
RMAU’s
Understand Functionality and controls
Valve train and control valve troubleshooting
Gas burner operations and safety circuits
Ammonia Liquid Pumps
Shaft seal replacements
Oiler and bearing housing rebuild
Ability to service both Cornell CB and HT style pumps
Purger rebuilds and troubleshooting
Receive Ammonia Deliveries
Oil Removal
Safety Relief Valve Change outs
Rebuild Parker RS and Danfoss Ammonia Valve stations
Electrical and Controls Troubleshooting
Train and assist general Utility Technicians
Read and understand equipment P&ID’s and applicable blueprints.
Perform all duties in accordance with OSHA – IIAR regulations.
Timely repair of plant ammonia equipment/systems with precision maintenance techniques as necessary to meet production rates and maintenance downtime goals.
Data entry daily into current CMMS system including preventative maintenance records, inspections, and stock replacement parts used.
Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, including all safety protocols and company policies.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
