Automation Technician

Setting/Hours: 100% in Office| Full-time

Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Cincinnati, Ohio that’s expanding its Manufacturing team. 

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical equipment.

  • Ability to troubleshoot industrial controls, including PLCs, servo drives, HMIs, pneumatics, robotics, and vision systems.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and pneumatic schematics.

  • Adaptable to shifting priorities and changing operational needs.

  • Ability to meet productivity targets with minimal supervision.

  • Capable of focusing, interpreting data, analyzing problems, and troubleshooting with moderate guidance.

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain cooperative working relationships across teams.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.

  • Ability to operate computers and standard office equipment.

  • Flexibility to work varying hours or shifts as needed.

  • Must be physically present onsite during scheduled work hours.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure automated equipment is set up and operated safely.

  • Maintain equipment in accordance with cGMP and 5S standards.

  • Follow PPE requirements and promote compliance among team members.

  • Communicate and coordinate automation-related issues with the next shift.

  • Report daily assembly issues to the Supervisor.

  • Document malfunctions and abnormalities per company guidelines.

  • Post production data to the ERP system and update logs as required.

  • Provide feedback to engineering regarding equipment improvement opportunities.

  • Compile technical information for senior automation, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams.

  • Troubleshoot assembly automation systems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic).

  • Support failure analysis, repairs, and preventative maintenance for robotic and automated equipment.

  • Assist with installation and relocation of automated machinery.

  • Maintain accurate equipment maintenance reports.

  • Provide backup support for Manufacturing Assembly Technicians.

  • Maintain spare parts inventory.

  • Participate in shift hand-offs and production reviews using dashboards.

  • Ensure documentation practices comply with cGMP requirements.
