HVAC Mechanic – Salt Lake City, UT
EML has an immediate opening for a Full-Time experienced HVAC Mechanic at the Wallace Bennett Federal Building in Salt Lake City.
SUMMARY
HVAC Mechanics with EML perform maintenance, service, and repair of refrigerant-containing equipment/systems to all required specifications. HVAC Mechanics shall have at least five years of journeyman level experience (obtained within the last seven years) in the field of maintenance, repair and operation of HVAC-related systems, including Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) systems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must possess at least 5 years of recent (within the past 7 years) experience in the inspection, testing, and maintenance of equipment and HVAC systems comparable in complexity to systems at these facilities. Additionally, all HVAC Mechanics must possess a Universal EPA Certification and one or more of the following certifications:
A detailed resume containing a thorough description of the previous 7 years of employment history with references and copies of all required certifications must be submitted, as the Contracting Officer has to provide approval prior to the assignment of the project manager to the contract.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
