Description

Job Purpose:
- The HVAC Technician at Hugo's Family Marketplace is responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of commercial HVAC systems within our retail stores. This role is crucial in maintaining a comfortable environment for both customers and staff by installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, as well as ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems in retail stores.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity and efficiency of HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to ensure minimal downtime and disruption.
- Respond promptly to service calls and provide effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed service records for all HVAC systems.
- Support a comfortable environment for customers and staff through effective HVAC management.
- Travel between locations as needed to provide timely support and maintenance.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, to meet the demands of the business.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education:
- Completion of an accredited HVAC technical or trade school program preferred
- Associate degree in HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related field a plus

Required Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC systems
- Knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, and HVAC controls
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between locations
