Job Title: Industrial Refrigeration Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, experience with large-scale cooling systems, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, and maintain industrial refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and control systems
- Diagnose and repair system issues in ammonia and/or Freon-based refrigeration systems
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance
- Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA)
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Respond to emergency service calls and minimize downtime
- Collaborate with maintenance teams, engineers, and facility managers
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in industrial refrigeration or HVAC systems
- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems (preferred in industrial settings)
- Familiarity with electrical systems, PLCs, and control panels
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
- EPA Section 608 Certification (required for refrigerant handling)
- RETA certification (e.g., CARO/CIRO) is a plus

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy equipment (50+ lbs)

Work Environment:
- Industrial facilities such as food processing plants, cold storage warehouses, and manufacturing sites
- May involve shift work, on-call duties, and overtime
