As an ammonia refrigeration technician, your responsibilities include safe and efficient operation, inspection, and maintenance of ammonia refrigeration equipment.

Skills and Knowledge:
•Ability to read, interpret and follow written job instructions.
•Ability to follow and comply with quality standards.
•Ability to comprehend and comply with GMP rules and Food Safety guidelines.
•May be required to obtain and maintain valid hi-lo license.
•Ability to work as contributing member within the team.
•Ability to operate a PC (keyboard/mouse).
•Knowledge of general safe work practices.
•Committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
•Strong communication skills, including verbal and written communications.
•Ability to work with hands in mechanically oriented situations.
•Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, as well as interpret pencil sketches and diagrams.
•Understanding of P&ID’s.
•Knowledge of various types of equipment in the Ammonia Refrigeration maintenance trade.
•Will be required to be trained in HAZMAT 24 hour certification.
•OSHA and PSM program knowledge a plus.
Environmental Working Conditions:
• Hazards include but are not limited to cuts from broken glass, slips, trips, falls, cuts, burns and strains.
• Will be exposed to extreme cold, 38 degrees or below.
• Depending on season may be exposed to variable temperatures including extreme hot and cold.
• Noise level may be moderate to high during busy times.
